Jains holds a PhD in Finance from IFMR GSB, Krea University, awarded in July 2023 for his research thesis "Empirical Essays on the Implied Cost of Equity Capital." He began his professional career as an Academic Associate at the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. In this role, he assisted faculties in research and teaching, allowing him to develop further his skills and knowledge in his areas of interest. He gained valuable experience working with leading academics and researchers in his field. In addition to his academic experience, Jains also gained practical experience through a summer internship at Geojith BNP Paribas Financial Services Ltd, a brokerage firm. This experience exposed him to real-time trading and gave him a deeper understanding of the financial markets. He graduated with an M.Com. in Business Finance from Pondicherry University, where he developed a passion for research in corporate finance, corporate governance, sustainability finance, and financial markets. Jains presented research papers at World Finance Conference 2022, Research Symposium on Finance and Economics 2022, and SEBI-NISM Conference 2022. During his PhD, he published research papers in the Investment Management and Financial Innovations and Journal of Emerging Markets Finance. His major achievements include; the third-best paper award for the paper presented at the SEBI-NISM conference in 2022.
